On the 17th of July 2006 the Israel airplanes raided the Jieh power plant located at 35 Km south of Beirut .
The power plant is capable of holding around 80000 tons of fuel oil.

The Emergency of the Field Committee has been followed carefully & strictly the achievement Navy Group team , experts work in the sea in front of Power Plant of Zouk for fighting the pollution occurred from the mentioned vessel and despite of the bad storm weather . Navy Group have been made a strong efforts day and night under two representatives from the Ministries of Transport & Environment
